The famous Falasarna beach is the westernmost point of the Gramvousa coastline and is located 59 kilometers west of the city of Chania and 17 kilometers west of Kissamos.
Falasarna beach is one of the most famous in Greece and has been awarded as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe. It extends into a very long sandy area and the central beach is very organized with umbrellas and canteens where you can buy the essential. As you drive towards it, you notice that the sand is white and gives the water a white – blue tint, which in combination with the wind gives you the impression that you are in an exotic bay.
Natura has claimed this beach as a protected area.
If you are a romantic, you have to wait for the sunset because it is considered one of the best in Crete due to the magical landscape and the immense horizon.
